For Professionals
An automation partner for architects, designers and developers.
Fortue works alongside the design team on villas, residences and developments in Dubai, turning the design intent into an automation, lighting control and network design that the electrical contractor can install and the owner can live with.
Why involve an integrator early
Automation decisions land on your drawings.
Keypad positions, lighting circuits, curtain pockets, panel space, AC controllers and access-point locations all appear on architectural, interior and MEP drawings. When automation is designed after those drawings are issued, it ends up compromising them, or being compromised by them.
Bringing Fortue in at design stage means these decisions are made once, coordinated across disciplines, and documented in a form the contractor and the client can follow.
Who we support
Architects
Device positions and cabling requirements coordinated with the architectural layouts.
Interior designers
Keypad finishes, lighting scenes, concealed speakers and curtain details aligned with the design.
MEP consultants
Panel space, lighting circuits, AC integration and BMS interfaces defined early.
Developers
Repeatable automation specifications across multiple villas or units.
Working together
How Fortue fits into a design and build team.
Concept and schematic design
Agree the level of automation per area and the backbone: wired KNX for new builds, wireless where it is the only practical option. Read KNX vs Zigbee.
Detailed design
Fortue issues device schedules, lighting groups, keypad positions and panel requirements so they can be incorporated into the interior and MEP packages. See planning automation during villa construction.
Tender and procurement
A clear BOQ and scope split between the electrical contractor and the integrator avoids gaps and double pricing.
Site stage
First-fix checks before ceilings close, then installation, programming and commissioning, with scenes agreed with the client and the designer.
Developments
For developers, one architecture applied consistently across units keeps installation, commissioning and support predictable. Fortue's published design work includes a Zigbee automation design for a 12-villa development in Dubai.

Questions
Working with Fortue: questions
At what stage should we involve Fortue?
Ideally at concept or schematic design, before electrical and interior drawings are finalised. Fortue can still support projects that are already on site, with fewer options.
Can Fortue provide design only, without installation?
Fortue provides automation design packages such as device schedules, layouts and BOQs. The scope is agreed per project.
Do you specify particular brands?
No. Fortue is an independent integrator. Products are selected per project to suit the design, the budget and the client.
Can you work on multi-villa developments?
Yes. For developments, Fortue defines a consistent architecture that can be installed, commissioned and supported the same way across units.
